MAIN AREAS OF ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIAITON
This section overviews main areas of activities of the Investor Protection Association and achieved results. The key areas include the following:
- Corporate Governance Monitoring;
- Participation in conflicts related to violations of shareholder rights;
- Promotion of civilized corporate governance principles;
- Nomination of investor representatives to BoDs of Russian issuers;
- Promotion of proposals aimed at clarifying and improving the legislation on corporate governance and securities market;
- Participation in international corporate governance projects in Russia.
The Association provides assistance to shareholders and investors through the activity of Workgroups - social bodies of the Association created on the voluntary basis for the purposes of implementation of specific projects within the framework of the Charter-based activities. These Workgroups are acting on the basis of respective provisions and rules of procedure.
