THE INVESTOR PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IPA) HELD THE ROUNDTABLE MEETING "CORPORATE GOVERNANCE-2002: RESULTS AND PERSPECTIVES" IN MOSCOW ON DECEMBER 19

The roundtable meeting "Corporate governance-2002: results and perspectives" was organized by the Investor Protection Association (IPA) within the framework of the annual program "Corporate governance in Russia". Summarizing the results of development of corporate governance in Russia in 2002 and considering issues of further improvement of corporate governance practices were the main targets of the event.

Representatives of FCSM, Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, State Duma, major Russian and international companies, IPA and NAID members participated in discussion of key aspects of corporate governance.

After the roundtable meeting the Investor Protection Association held the awarding ceremony "Russian leaders in corporate governance-2002" evaluating the quality of corporate governance among leading Russian companies. The winners in 8 nominations were announced during the awarding ceremony. The nominations cover different aspects of joint-stock companies
